New Account; Can call and recieve fine but can't transmit
New client. Just setting up. Made trial calls on three phones which work perfectly with current provider. I can hear the party I'm calling but they can't hear me. Am using Windows 7 on a new Lenovo Thinkpad. Have ample bandwidth and speed over internet (using VOIP from another provider). Please provide any tips
Can't transmit...
Thanks for getting back. I think the menu selection is correct but recall I did load it without shutting off my malware. Will try it again in a little while. (Have to keep the regular phone up for now!)
Thanks again
Thanks again

You can find a lot of help to your questions here: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/MagicJack/ ... ources/FAQ
Make sure you are using a powered USB to power your MJ dongle with your telephone. The powered USB most users like with magicJack you can find it here. https://www.justpal.com/store/product.p ... ctid=16262
Do not use the attach extension cord that came with your MJ device.

Open your magicJack soft phone on your desktop, click on menu on top left of screen. Make sure Switch to Telephone is selected. Select Volume/Headset Control and Choose your Device - Telephone - make sure to slide the bar 1/3 to the left both for the Speaker and Microphone. Also make sure in the Telephone setting that the Speaker/earpiece: magicJack, Microphone: magicJack, Ringing: magicJack (This is what you should have or see). It does not hurt to make sure you also have the latest Sound card drivers for your computer. If you have a realtik sound card on your board and you have Windows 7, you can download it here - http://www.majorgeeks.com/Realtek_High_ ... d5513.html

It does not hurt to shut everything down, unplug everything, wait a few minutes and power everything back on to make sure your electrical spaghetti did not get dis-functional. Maybe in Windows Control Panel click on Sound to make sure it is configured correctly. Also you can use the mjRemover - http://upgrades.talk4free.com/tools/mjRemover.exe
Uninstall MJ and start over to make sure you have installed correctly. I have used magicJack since May of 2008 and with only a few problems here and there and I am currently with the newer MJ version 4 device. Also I use a uniden cordless dect 6 phone with no problems.
