OBITALK and VoIP My Way

Obitalk is sending me a unit to certify with the VoIP My Way service as a an acceptable alternative to Google Voice due to the recent changes with the Google Voice service and lack of E911 service.

Once the certification is done we will add the Obitalk device as a certified device and provide support for it (using our service) and offer a bundled solution.

Please keep a eye on this thread for development.

due to the recent changes with the Google Voice service

I wasn't aware of any changes so I did a search (Google, of course) but couldn't find anything. Can you elaborate?

There is a issue without outbound caller ID and no E911 support from recent forum posts. This will not be a replacement for all but for those that are looking for that functionality.

Our service now officially works on their devices. We even have our own forum on the obi forums.
