inbound caller id not working

yea im trying to get my caller id to work with this uniden cordless phone but its not working. my dad used the same phone with his mj and it worked but i think he was using a pc and im using a mac. does anybody know to fix the caller id if so let me know.

I just bought magicmojita from http://www.magicmojita.com and my windows version works. Also spoke to a rep there and he mentioned they are actively working on a MAC version too.

I had this problem and took advise from other forums only to be disappointed. As a technician I remembered something, I went out and bought a phone line splitter. It is used to make one telephone jack into two or more jacks and only cost $2.00, I also bought a cheap handset phone with caller ID (corded) it cost $9.00. The trick is to take away voltage from the magicjack's output as the caller ID issue is coming from too much voltage spiking. Caller ID now works on my cordless phone because I have two phones plugged into my magicjack. (Every incoming call)

Thank you so much for posting this! I read about different solutions, but I didn't have another cordless set to test, and using a powered USB hub didn't make a difference. I also didn't feel like installing a resistor and was unsure about ordering the magicMojita.

I did, however, already have a phone line splitter and a cheap corded phone (although it's so old that it doesn't have caller ID on it). I connected the splitter to the magicJack and ran one line to my cordless handset base and the other to the old phone. Now the caller ID works perfectly. Thank you!
