magicjack wipes out keyboard, mouse, and volume

I posted this somewhere. These forums act like the magicjack, a life of their own. Can't see where the post is going so forgive me for posting this twice.

I had something interesting. I had magicjack installed and used it for about a year on a Windows XP Professional SP3 machine. I let it expire and then reattached the magicjack. And it did the following in short order:
1 The volume control on anything in the computer was limited to what the magicjack setting was for the telephone or head set.
2 It wiped out the keyboards, USB or wireless so the keys did not function.
3 It took the mouse and made the center wheel only enlarge fonts but not scrolling. It was as if the CONTROL button was constantly pressed for enlarging the fonts.

So I uninstalled magicjack and instantly, everything was fixed.

I just now found the magicjackspash.exe and deleted that, just in case.

I gather if I reinstall magicjack, maybe it will behave better. I would guess that it re-installed itself when I reattached it and screwed things up royally.

Whew, just glad to have my computer back. The money saved is not worth it, at least so far.
