broken device, new one is used, help me get mine back

Ok guys i paid for five years with the fancy number and so forth, loved my MJ but the kids broke it in two. I bought a new one at walmart. before i could use it the computer went down and i sent it to be fixed, three months later i plugged in the new device only to find that it was previously set up for someone else. How do i get my number back and working again??? Am I really screwed on this device Walmart charged me over 45 dollars for, sorry but my first one only cost me 20, so i was a bit outraged to begin with
Am I stuck and out all the money or is there a fix to this?

You needed to contact MJ online chat BEFORE you plugged in your new device. MAYBE since it was already registered you MIGHT be safe. If you can I would bring it back to Wal-Mart and explain what happend and get a new one. THEN contact MJ chat first and tell them you old one broke and ask them to transfer your orig MJ number and hopefully time left to the new unit.
