Headless thin client setup - BIOS or software or both

Hi,
I am running a MagicJack on a Neoware CA10 (512 Mb DOM/756 Mb RAM) and also on a Neoware CA22 (1Gb DOM/1GB RAM) successfully. The problem is that I have to hook up a monitor/mouse/keyboard until each TC finishes booting and MagicJack is initialized and ready. I can then disconnect the monitor/keyboard/mouse and the TC runs happily until power fails and then on the reboot, the MJ will not work. The images I have are the "tweaked" images from this forum (512MB v1.5 Tweaked E90 V4, 1GB v1.5 Tweaked E140 V4, respectively from "Want to use Neoware - Here is all the info w_ software" - by STxFarmer.)

Is there any BIOS (both have Award BIOS) or program setups that need to be done? I don't need to have the monitor/keyboard/mouse hooked up as TC's can be run headless. I would appreciate any advice.

I am not familiar with your unit/bios but there is often a setting for "halt on error" and one of most common settings none except keyboard. Make sure the bios settings are not your trouble. You don't want to allow halt on any errors or it will fail to boot.

I assume you run teanviewer or VNC etc. to monitor the TC when nothing is attached. Can you see from them where it is failing or does it not get far enough to bring them up?

Thanks VaHam for the BIOS settings. I am running TeamViewer and WinVNC but don't know how to set them up. Will try both the BIOS and remote access (TeamViewer and WinVNC) and let you know.
I have a feeling that the BIOS - disable "halt on all errors" should do the trick.

I tried the following:
0 - replaced BIOS button cell battery (CR2032) and set BIOS for Halt on "No errors"
1 - booted with keyboard/mouse/monitor connected - MJ works
2 - booted with keyboard/monitor connected - MJ works
3 - booted with only monitor connected - MJ works
4 - booted without keyboard/mouse/monitor connected - MJ works headless.

I have no idea why they (the CA10 and CA22) MJ didn't work before. Sometimes, when I power down for long (> 30 mins to simulate a power outage) without either a keyboard or mouse or monitor hooked up, then only the CA10 will flake out and MJ will quit working on reboot (power up). I think it may be either a low BIOS Battery or a flaky board. Unfortunately, I don't have a low voltage CR2032 or a new CA10 to test if this theory is correct.

Your help is appreciated in getting me going and solving the problem - I hope.

The weak battery would be my guess!

Replacing the battery was a good move as I hadn't thought of that. These units are more than a few years old now and those batteries are probably getting weak.
