I just bought a MJ to use in places where their is no cell service. Most calls go thru with no problems. A few times I have the following problem. I dial a number on my MJ phone and it will ring sometimes up to 10 times and then I just get a dial tone. On the other end when the person answers, usually after 2 rings, there is no one there. A call back to the MJ phone works fine and if the MJ makes the call again it works.
PC is a Windows 7 Dell Mini Notebook. When the problem occurs the phone on the other end always rings.

What you are experiencing is a dropped call issue. All VOIP services have it, but the MagicJack is infamous for it. There a few things that cause this, but mainly it is your speed on your internet and your packet loss on your computer's connection.
Goto: www.speetest.net and make sure your upload speed is at least 128kbs and download 512kbs. If it is close but under that, you will have to deal with it. If it is more, then you may have a packet loss issue. Which could be numerous things (therefore I will not get into it here).
Finally, it is possible that your MagicJack is not getting enough power from the USB ports on that little netbook. First never use the MagicJack on that netbook while on battery power. Second buy a Powered USB Hub and give it a try. I would never use a MagicJack on a computer without one.
