MJ compatibility with Panasonic KX-TS4100 or KX-TS4300B

I have no problems using MJ with a new cordless type phone BUT I do have problems using a business phone like the two models listed above. When I make a call and the other party tells me that I'm breaking up (I am in Sales) this is definitely not good! I would prefer using the Panasonic model (KX-TS4100) and I'm thinking of purchasing a new model (KX-TS4300B) but I can't reach anyone at Panasonic or a phone expert who can tell me whether VOIP work's better with one business phone type (like ATT) or another. I don't have a multiple phone system at my home-based business, but I really enjoy having multiple lines available (4-line) if I want to add a 2nd phone service. I also like using the Plantronics CS50 headset and handset lifter that work so well together.

Which business phone has the newer technology that will allow MJ to work properly like a new wireless home phone that I can buy at one of the warehouses that works so well?

Keep in mind I do have a good internet connection and I've tested it at a VOIP Test website that gave my connection good marks (see below)...

Personally I have found all corded phones to have issues with MagicJack. Not breaking up issues but ringing issues. Therefore I always use cordless. I doubt the sound issues are from the phone (unless it is defective in some way).

More than likely your upload bandwidth is dropping dramatically during peak hours, you need a powered usb hub for your MagicJack, or your computer has too many processes running to handle the MagicJack properly (very unlikely unless your computer is dated or you run it ragged).

I use my MagicJack for my home phone . . . but to be honest I would never use it in a business situation. It is just too unreliable in my humble opinion. Skype may be a better option for you, sir.

Try the powered USB hub, check your upload speed during those peak hours your on the phone, and go to task manager and keep an eye on your CPU usage and memory. If the hub does not work and your connection and computer remain strong . . . you may want to look for other options.

Yeah, I have not found any corded phones in my area with a low enough REN rating. The ones I have tried have been 3.0 - 1.0. All had ringer issues. Was easier to go with a cordless and be done with it IMHO.

I would like a corded for the kitchen. If it is not too much trouble, could you post the models of your corded phones?

They are relatively old phones. One is a GE 29255GC-A, the other is a Panasonic RC-T340, both with a 1.0 ren.

Thanks for the reply. As I have stated I have tried phones with a 1.0 REN to no avail. Although that was a while ago and I cannot remember if I was using a powered USB Hub at the time or not. It is possible that my MagicJack is just temperamental.

I think I will go on the hunt to try and find a corded phone with a REN lower than 1.0. My cordless boasts a 0.08 and does great. I hold no hope of finding a corded with that low of a REN.
