MJ as a dialup modem?

I have to visit a place with no Internet. Can I use my MJ to call the local dialup number from my Macbook Air and make a modem connection??

The answer to your question is no. The magicJack USB dongle is only designed to be connected to a regular phone.

You will need to use a USB fax modem or a USB WiFi modem depending on the Internet connection(s) available at your destination.
