Keep losing wifi connection

Using my laptop, magicjack, and wifi connections in campgrounds on trip from WV to Montana. Used successfully across the US.. Now in Montana and unable to use MagicJack...every time I try to dial the wifi connection is interrupted....any suggestions--only difference appears to be that previous wifi connections were "secure" requiring a password to access and current wifi connections are unsecure......Any help appreciated....

And the other difference is every one and his brother could be accessing the Wifi leaving little if any bandwidth..............Or just a crappy and weak signal. Since it isnt password protected no telling who else is jumping on the free access.
Wifi, especially, in a hi traffic area like a campground can be hit or miss with MJ, let alone getting any decent voice quality..
