qos

Post by degarb »

I seems every router I buy has no qos. I have three voip devices, a wii w/ netflix, 4 computers, a kindle, and a blackberry on one router. The lines all garble when any video or pages load.

I bought the latest vizio xwr100, thinking their qos would work. It doesn't. Traffic shaper xp is nearly useless since udp slips past it.

I see a cisco e1000 on sale for 21 bucks, but I am guessing only qos on wireless from research.

So I am guessing nothing with qos for under $150.

This is the router I use http://www.amazon.com/Cisco-Linksys-WRT ... 855&sr=1-1 it can be flashed with Tomato or DD-WRT firmwares for free and both have QoS. You could also search ebay for a hawkings broadband booster. I can stream netflixs, kids playing on one computer, wife using another computer and voip call and all goes smooth.
