Several (not all) of my USB flash drives are not recognized when plugged in if MJ is active. If MJ is deactivated, either by closing the app or by unplugging the dongle, the drive is recognized without a problem.
I spent about an hour on MJ live chat today trying to find a solution for this problem. A number of things were tried, but nothing seems to solve the problem.
I'm running W7 64 bit on an Intel i3 Lenovo. Interestingly the same problem occurs on my Dell laptop pentium running XP. My MJ hardware dates back to 2008.
I am turning to the collective wisdom of the MJ Forum in hopes of finding a solution. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Flash drive not recognized when MJ is active

During my session with live chat yesterday everything was uninstalled/reinstalled several times. Didn't seem to make a difference. In fact, this morning when I turned my machine on the MJ drivers were reinstalled once more.
The problem still exists: as long as MJ is not active I can use any flash drive. When MJ is active some flash drives are not recognized.

Bert,
Does your computer recognize more than 1 flash, or external hard, drive plugged into your USB ports? Try plugging in 2 flash or external hard drives without the mJ plugged in and see if they are both recognized.
I had a friend who had an older Dell computer that would not recognize more than 1 USB storage device attached, it was a hardware problem with the USB controller on his mother board and the only way he got it fixed was to add an extra USB card into his computer. I don't know if this could be your problem or not, you might also want to check to see if there is an updated BIOS or USB drivers for you computer on the manufacturer's website.
