Can not make calls in the area code I live in 520

When trying to call within the 520 area code the call does not go through with the interuption "your call can not be completed as dialed (1 520) though I can call anywhere else in the country including 800 numbers. This has been going on for 3 weeks now and all I get from tech is the engineers are working on my issue.
Anyone got any HELP!!

What's the prefix along with the area; it helps to know?

520 Area Code Problems

This problem has been happening off and on for over two years. They get it fixed and it works fine for a few months and then happens again. We have put in multiple service requests as have some other people that I know that have Magic Jacks and can't connect to 520 area code numbers either. It appears that it is just the ones inside Maricopa Arizona that are a problem. I was able to call a person with a 520 area code that is situated about 15 miles out of town. On two occasions we have got a response from the so called engineers offering a refund of our Magic Jack money. The latest response was that it was cost restrictive to access the 520 area code numbers but they were going to do it and would be requesting access from Qwest. HOW DID THEY LOSE THEIR ACCESS TO BEGIN WITH??? They had it many times before. That was a month ago and nothing has been done. There is some Bean Counter at work here I think trying to save a dollar and increase their bonus I think. The service has been awful and I have spent hours on the chat line waiting and waiting and waiting. We have had to take out long distance plan both in Canada and Arizona on our land line phones due to this problem.javascript:emoticon(':evil:')
