I am using the new Plus unit without a computer. The unit is connect to a port on my router but Caller ID is not not working. This may be a router config issue.
Has anyone experienced this and what was the solution ?
Magic Jack Plus will not display CID

If you are receiving incoming calls the caller ID should be working numbers only, on rare occasions will you get a name.
You may want to test an incoming call with MJ+ connected to a PC or MAC to see if the malfunction is due to the time and date issue.
The MJ+ in stand alone mode (connected via Ethernet) seems to auto set the clock once or twice a day, until then it sends out 01/01/01 for the date when the caller ID is sent, some caller ID display units go nuts till the time is corrected.
A major update is due out soon for the MagicJack PLUS device.

I am not getting any information on the phone. When using with a verizon land line, the phone does display both name and number. When the MJ+ is connected to my computer's USB it works fine as well. The problem seems to be when in standalone and connected to the router.
There may be something that is being blocked on the router.

I could agree with you guys.
Using the stand alone magicJack plus as well but CID on phone doens't work however, it works fine when connected to the computer.
I'm wondering if opening or forwarding the magicJack ports (5060 and 5070 UDP) through router's interface will work with this problem.
Has anyone tried this setting yet?

CID not displaying
I did forward the ports listed and I do have CID displayed on my phone. The MJ+ is behind the router.

No Caller ID.
I saw another posting of this under another subject. A 100 K ohm resistor was placed across the telephone line and solved the problem.
