When I bought MJ and paid for 5 years it was OK and worked relatively well for more than a year.
For months now it has been bad enough that I don't use it for other than letting it go to voicemail. Obviously, they got too big for their hardware.
Lately, I have been told by many friends who use Skype, that they can not get through even to my voicemail, all they get is ringing - but!, if then they use a landline or cell phone, Bingo! They get my voicemail.
I consider this very poor form on the part of MJ and they will never get another firkin penny out of this boy!
I will be using Skype from now on just to screw MJ......

Magic Jack problems?
Hi. I've used it for well over a year now. No problems except learning how to use a new Router to allow calls out. All has been fine. That issue with getting Too big for their britches is a concern. I've noticed a long delay in CS CHAT people being busy. I've got most answers from forums like this and almost never use their live Chat anymore. Takes way too long. I've used Yahoo Messenger and Skype to talk with Land lines. SKYPE to Australia was perfect, I could even hear my friends Lorikeets loudly in the background. If only you didn't have to pay for calls to Land lines. I still have 7.00$ on my Old Yahoo phone out account I never used. I got Magic jack instead because AT&T decided to create more and more fictitious line costs and fees for us. I use it on LINUX right now and am thinking of re-installing Skype to see how it works in Linux. But for now, Magic Jack is my main phone. I actually enjoy NO solicitors bothering me. I prefer it unplugged until I decide to use it. I do have the cheapest cell phone ever for back up from Virgin Mobile 20$ ever 90 days. I never use it either. Maybe with the new MJ Plus they can hire more people and expand? hire some USA call center people instead of sending the jobs to India like AT&T did.
