Speakerphone issues on wireless handset

Speakerphone issues on wireless handset

Using Panasonic KX-TG5621 (5.8GHz). Pressing the speakerphone button on the handset outputs the dialtone for less 0.5 seconds then turns the phone off. You have to wait about 5 seconds before trying to turn on the handset, otherwise it says "no link to base, move closer."

Everything else works as expected. Seems like an incompatible phone issue.

You sure you have the right power supply on the phone base?

Speakerphone should work fine. I have two seperate panansonic multi handset phones on two seperate magicjack plus lines. Speaker phone works great.

Maybe check the handset on another line ? Rule out the handset being the issue or not.

Handset has no issue when connected to regular house line via Cox phone service. It's only MJ+ that has the issue.

I believe the MJ service is finicky when it comes to phones. Pick the right phone, and it works flawlessly. Using a Uniden D1660 with 2 handsets without any problems ;)

MJ / MJ+ are considered a multimedia device and it makes a big difference what brand phone,CID display, answering machine, modem, etc. you use.

For example Bell Telephone ringer phones do not work well with MJ/MJ+, but Vtech phones perform well with MJ/MJ+.
