I have had the MJ+ for about 2 weeks now. My MJ+ is plugged directly into a dlink router that is just acting as a switch which goes to another switch then goes to my main router a Netgear WNDR3700. I have DMZ hosting enabled.
I'm using a cordless phones from Vtech.
Occasionally during a call at any point in the conversation, my audio drops and I cannot hear the other person. However the person on the other end can hear me.
I then have to hang up and call them back. Sometimes it works for an hour and sometimes it works for about 3 minutes then the audio drops. There are times when it will drop on every call after a few minutes. Its quite random but it happens I would say about 50% of the time.
MJ+ Heard of this issue? Inbound Audio Drops occasionally

Drop outs
The short answer is yes, it happens to me also. Seems entirely random, some conversations go for a 1/2 hour with no problem, others you are talking to yourself after just a few minutes. Same solution, when you know you are talking to the air, hang up and redial. It has always worked as a solution provided your recipient isn't busy dialing you back at the same time!

Interesting. Thanks for the reply!SailorDave wrote:The short answer is yes, it happens to me also. At least now I know I am not the only one having this issue. Hopefully it will be resolved in a update. I wonder how long that will be though. I'm not sure how often magic jack does updates...

I don't recommend holding your breath. Their customer support is non-existant and broken doesn't seem to be an adequate cause for an update either.
I agree that their support is non-existant - however I would suggest that you at least take a few minutes to report it to them via a net-chat. They will probably say that they will report the problem to the engineeers and it will be fixed in 24 or 48 hours. No way that will be true but at least the problem has been reported and maybe someday it will be fixed (yeah, and pigs can fly....).
