Volume Issues

Post by shushwap »

Just hooked up a new magic jack plus.. Seems to work pretty well.. I was able to fax with it right out of the box... BIG PLUS FOR ME... The only issue I seem to having is the volume is really low... I have trouble hearing the other person on the phone and it cuts out to the point where I cant hear anything for a second or two... Any way to resolve this issue ?

1.Connect MJ+ to the computer (via USB) and adjust the volume controls in the softpad.

2. Get a powered phone with a volume booster/speaker phone or try a different brand phone like Panasonic,V-tech etc...

I recently purchased the magicjack+ to replace a regular MJ and found the volume in the earpiece to be too low: certainly much lower that in the regular MJ. I did what was suggested and it did help.
Many thanks,

There are really few complaints about this and I wonder if it could be a problem with just some of the MJ dongles? The initial volume is low enough to make it annoying unless the phone volume is turned all the way up and the computer setting is set to full volume. Any ideas about this?

One other thing i notice is when I call someone else who has there phone through cable... The sound fluctuates up and down to the point I cant use it to talk to anyone who has a cable phone provider

Yes the MJ Plus connected to a router has much lower volume. And NO, going to the compouter as some claim, has nothing to do with the volume on the phone, for you are no longer connected to the computer.

So the only answer is to get a phone that can bring the volume to acceptable volume level.
