dropped incoming and outgoing calls
During the past 2 weeks have had calls cut off at the 6 or 7 minute mark. Have magicjack plus and it has worked fine until now. Ran the latest update and still had a call drop twice since then. Using 2wire 2701HG-G modem and bell high speed internet. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the info budgetwise.
Do these:
Please press the "Windows" button on your keyboard (the one between CTRL and ALT) then press "R" and type "CMD" then press the "Enter" button and a command prompt will open. Type "ipconfig", press "Enter" and take note of the "Default Gateway" address.
Once you have the "Default Gateway" address, Open your Internet browser, type in the default gateway address then press "Enter". Once you're logged in to your router's interface, follow these; http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... icjack.htm

Bell 2Wire 2701HG router
Have you been able to fix your problem yet? I have the same router and somewhere somewhen I came across the idea that not all routers will work with MagicJack. I don't have one yet but am thinking about either MagicJack or NetTalk. But not before someone from either companies can reassure me that I can use my present Internet connection (router).
I had already signed up for Freephone, now Fongo, who advised me to buy my own router - only to find out ....after paying for an access file ($56) plus $25 for keeping my old phone number (yes, supposedly they can do it) plus the costy of the adapter....that they are not able to provide me with support for setup (it's not exactly that easy). I ended up getting a refund for the 2 Fongo charges but am now stuck with a Grandstream adapter.
So now I want to make sure I don't waste any more money. It would be good to hear that yours is now working.

What bandwidth do you have through your ISP?
Also, consider checking out speedtest.net and pingtest.net to see how your bandwidth and latency are for your connection.
If you could copy your test results here, some of us might be able to provide further insight.
