Our Netgear router has a USB port that I've used with USB Flash drives and external hard drives. Our original MJ has functioned for several years via cordless phones through the computer I use.
I'm relunctant to just fool around with what's working, but I was wondering if Magicjack would function through the USB router port? Our computers, printers, HDHomerrun, etc. go through this same router.
TIA,
Wayne

Since the orig MJ requires an OS to run ( Operating System) the answer ( which has been discussed here before) is no you can not plug the Orig MJ into the USB port of your or any other router..wayne1935 wrote:Our Netgear router has a USB port that I've used with USB Flash drives and external hard drives. Technically routers do have an operating system, it's just not Windows XP-7 or OSX which are the only operating systems that the mJ software was created to execute on.bitstopjoe wrote: Since the orig MJ requires an OS to run ( Operating System) the answer ( which has been discussed here before) is no you can not plug the Orig MJ into the USB port of your or any other router..
