I got EVEN with Magic Jack - Here's how you can too!

I got even when I wanted to port my number and was screwed with new charges.

I wasted their TIME with meaningless live support reps who earn at least 7 bucks an hour (minimum wage is like $7.05) for over 10 hours! That's SEVENTY DOLLARS they paid someone to answer my meaningless dumb-ass questions than to just refund a contested TWENTY bucks!

If that doesn't spell STUPID then what does? They may be "right" but they lost the argument.

If you have time to kill then maybe you too can add to their "dumb-ass" list. Personally I find it an honor when the truly stupid policy makers think I'm a moron. They got it backwards!

The only flaw to your argument, and unfortunately it's a huge flaw, is that they didn't hire someone just to take your chat. That person was going to work their 6..8..10..12.., or whatever hour, shift and get paid, whether you pestered them or not. All you "might" have accomplished was keeping another magicJack user, who may or may not have had time to kill like you, from getting into chat sooner. Unless hundreds are like you and want to waste time like that EVERY day, they won't hire anyone new because of this mental masturbation exercise of yours. So it won't, and didn't, cost magicJack an extra penny to field your 10 hour chat.

But if it makes you feel better, knock yourself out.

bottom line is you were chatting with an operator who gets paid with answering all your pointless questions and on the other hand is lowering your logic to almost 0 to be able to ask your questions and wasting your internet time and electicity, thumbs up for you. :D

I'm gonna get even with them to. Usernamed all over my MJ. After I called everyone I know and talked for hours on end with no problems whatsoever. Damn now I gotta clean it.

- I hate to break the "news" to you, but the MJ reps that you "chat" with are merely staffers working in a call center... IN THE PHILIPPINES, last I knew. I believe their wages are *considerably* less than $7/hr.

Really? no wonder those guys are so kind and courteous but I've heard that their support is based in West Palm Beach Florida but I understand that they would outsource their support since with all the issue magicJack has it would take a lot of patience to deal with all of them.

I agree with you.

I doubt that Dan could even handle it himself or even his wife :)

So far, I believe that any agents employed with them would suffer from mJ's unreliable and prolematic service.

Not to mention, false advertisement and other shady charges which the rep's get's alot of "F**ck and Sh** all the time from us customers.

Who can blame them? LOL.

If we pay $30 for phone service a year, then I would wonder how compensated this reps??

Guys let me tell you what really works with this companies i.e magic jack.
File a complain with the federal trade commission and other with consumer's division with your state attorney. If every one on this site will do this this company will be forced to reorganized their customer service. If they don’t comply they will be fine.Try it,it worked for me every time.

Honestly, I'd switch to a different provider given the recent issues that MJ is experiencing. They have been sued for Patent Infringements by Nettalk; the Court Docs were files on 9/21/2012 and now they are charging 19.95 a year for 500 monthly call forwarding minutes. They are no longer the Great Value which sucks, especially since I have 3 MJ's to replace now. You can attempt to get any answers from their live help, but I wouldn't bother as I have asked them many times about these issues and all I get is incorrect or B.S. answers from them.

Go to http://www.nettalk.com and check out their products; They offer a USB Model and an All in one that will work when connected to either a Network Jack or your Wi-Fi Connection. They will also port your current MJ number and they offer free call forwarding as well. MJ now charges for call forwarding and current users will lose this feature as well so there is no grandfathering for us.
