I have the E2500 Linksys also and have been having dropped calls as other post and yours have mentioned. My wife has not been to happy with it as she talks most on the phone. I have started to work on fixing the dropped calls recently and just did a router update from Cisco today. I did not know there was an update available until I connected to see about assigning a static IP or mess around with the router. I decided to wait and see if that update will have any helpful effect before messing around with the IP's. Only time will tell. I called a cell phone in the house and let it sit with open line for about 20-25 min's and the call was ok with voice and not dropped. I also changed out the ethernet cable that was supplied by MJ for a std cable to see if that would help.
Will check it over the next few days and post results.
Great to have this forum available to share experience.

It is SIP ALG causing the issue, is there a way to turn it off on that router?

I don't know what SIP and ALG are, but I am willing to try it if possible.
TIA

Thanks for the tip. Just disabled it on my NetGear router. Wife is talking to her mom right now so we'll see what happens after 10 minutes or so.
