Majjck won,t run after computer restart
I just updated from my old computer(XP) to a new computer(windows 7).When my new computer restarts majic doesn,t run. If I unplug it at usb port and plug it back in it will start. How do I fix this problem? THNX

Get the MJ remover program from the MJ web page, run it, and then start from scratch to see if that helps.wlrdlr wrote:I just updated from my old computer(XP) to a new computer(windows 7).When my new computer restarts majic doesn,t run. @ wlrdlr,
You may also try pasting the Mj setup file to your Start Up.
1. Please go to "My Computer". From the menu bar go to "Tools" and select "Folder Options". In there click on the "View" tab and make sure the option "Show hidden files and folders" is checked then click "OK".
2. Now double click on your hard drive (usually called C:\). Click on "Users" then "Application Data" then "Roaming" and double click on the folder called "mjusbsp" then "in00000". Copy the file named "Set-up" and close that folder.
3. Click the "Start" button then "All Programs", right click the "Startup Folder" and choose "Open all Users" and paste the "Set-up" file into that folder. Now your magicJack will automatically start on boot-up.

Yes you will keep your MJ number after removing the software. Unplug the dongle, run the remover program then plug the dongle back it and it "should" update and install the MJ software again for you.wlrdlr wrote:Hi BitstopJoe,If I remove it & reinstall it will I still keep my old phone #? When I do it what sequence do I need to do re;unpluging it & replugging it into my usb port? Does the computer need to be turned off during the unplugging & replugging? THNX

I've been having the same problem for the past several months. Eventually it works again after removing the dongle and plugging it back in, but it often takes several attempts. Meanwhile I keep getting a screen plugging MJ+. Maybe they figure if I get fed up enough I'll buy that, but I have a year left on my original contract so I'm trying to stick it out. Anyway, if it's like all the other ups and downs MJ has come up with the past few years, it will probably go away on its own at some point.
My revised "won't start" repair
I had same problem for weeks and tried the above proceedure 20-30 times to no avail !!black_icon wrote:@ wlrdlr,

I eventually copied "C:\users\***\AppData\Roaming\mjusbsp\majicJackLoader.exe"
and pasted it in "C:\ProgranData\Microsoft\windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
This has worked perfectly for the last 2 weeks !
Thanks for your comment, but even that doesn't work !kito0t wrote:Press the window key nad press R... the run window will appear... type in MSCONFIG then press ENTER...
Look at start up tab... make sure that CDLOADER2.exe is checked then reboot
I went back thru everything again, and coping MajicJackLoader.exe
and pasting it into startup/all users is the only way MajicJack will start
at bootup for me !
