Error Two Three
OK, I see other topics for this, but I need help with my set-up.
I have a Belkin Router model F5D7234-4 v4 and a MagicJack Plus hooked up to it.
I have forwarded ports 5060 and 5070, I have downloaded the update per the MJ support chat team, I have restarted the router numerous times.
After restarting the router or replugging the MJP into the wall adapter, the MJP will have a dial tone anywhere from 5-20 minutes before going dead and all I'll hear is...
"Error Two Three, check your internet connection, or visit customer care at magicJack.com."
I have done everything customer care has said. Once they disconnect, the error returns and when I return to them, they just repeat the same things for me to do.
I need this phone for my business. can someone, ANYONE, help me?

This has been a continual problem with MJ+. When ever I place a call I plug the MJ+ into the computer. If I receive a call that is only going to last a few minutes everything seems fine. If It is going to be an extended call I call the person back with the MJ+ in the computer. For business purposes the MJ+ is not the answer unless you want to continually plug in the the computer during "work hours" and plugged in the router during "night hours"

I believe this can mean that your router has (for whatever reason) lost its connection to the MJ+.
I have a Netgear router and found that I occasionally ran into that problem when the router couldn't reliably detect the speed of the MJ+'s Ethernet connection. So far, it appears that since I replaced the Ethernet cable between the MJ+ and the router (and I also use the little USB extension cable that came with the MJ+ to connect it to its AC adapter, btw) I no longer have this problem.
So you might want to try what I did, at least if your Belkin router has Ethernet (10 mbits/sec.) and Fast Ethernet (100 mbits/sec.) Ethernet. At any rate, you absolutely should check your router's settings to make sure that the MJ+'s router-assigned IP address remains constant, and that all other settings ensure that the router's connection with the MJ+ remain constant.

Did you read all of kito0t's post? He said to plug the MJ+ back into your router.black_icon wrote:@ kito0t,
What's the point of buying MJ PLUS? To avoid leaving the PC on 24/7, right? In other words, MJ plus is designed to be used in a router. So, if that's the case, I don't think your suggestion will do it...peace man. Thanks for that though.

Since at the current time MJ does NOT update their firmware via the router I would say yes they are safe until they plug it back into their USB port on the PC.black_icon wrote:@ mh1983,
Do you think whatever you did from your computer with the MJ device will remain constant and permanent when plugged back in to router?

Why don't you try it yourself? plug in your magicjack plus to your computer and go to "Menu" then click on "Volume Headset Control" and click on "Headset" close that menu unplug your magicjack plus device and return it to your router and tell me the error you hear
