Fix Issue with MagicJack NOT working with many phone numbers

Post by dplavoie »

As with many people I have been having issues with many phone #'s not working in magicJack. Some of the phone #'s are local, some are conference call #'s, etc. This has happened to me for over a year. Well I had a phone call recently where I had to listen to a recorded phone conference call, where it required me to enter a private PIN. Well no surprise, it did not work in MagicJack.

So I decided to do some research of other ways to make free calls on the internet. I was not aware of a phone service provided by Google, called Google Voice. It is free for what we will be doing here. It allows you to get a new phone # and to connect this phone # to ANY of your other phone #'s. So I gave it a try. I found that I can set up Google to be able to dial ANY phone # and then transfer the call to my MagicJack phone #. So I dial the # in Google Voice. It calls my MagicJack phone # and when I pick up I am connected to this phone # and I can proceed perfectly, as if I dialed it directly from MagicJack.

This is a way to now bypass this long standing issue.

May this help everybody out there!
