Caller ID does not show on my telephone

I contacted chat support
They went through a few things with me to no avail.
They told me to buy a powered usb hub. I did, still no ID shows.
I would like to know if the hub is receiving ac power as there is no
led light.

So my question is :-

If I plug the mj into the hub with power connected and usb disconnected,
will the blue light show in the mj

If anybody can help I will be very grateful. Plus any help with the lack of
caller ID also
