MagicJack could not start in Windows 8
I recently upgraded my Operating System to Windows 8 from Windows 7 Professional Edition. Since then MagicJack could not start. I am not able to dial a number nor able to receive a call. Is there any need to update the drive for MagicJack to work with Windows 8? Shall appreciate your help in the matter.

MagicJack does work in 8, but a lot of people seem to have been having a lot of trouble getting some of their pre-existing, already-installed programs (not just MJ) to work properly after *upgrading* their pc's to 8 from earlier OS versions.
Given that you did an OS upgrade, I suggest that you first run a disk check on your HD, and then scan it with Windows Defender. Then reboot, temporarily turn off any & all anti-viruss/malware & pc-based firewall you're runninmg (including Microsoft's/Windows'), then do everything you can to uninstall MJ from your machine as completely as you can. Then reboot, go to Desktop, and plug your MJ device into a USB port to reinstall the software.
Once the software's installed and it accesses your account etc., be sure to make sure that "Normal" is checked in the upper-left area of the MJ softphone screen (unless of course you're using an aircard or whatever), and then go into iots settings to make sure that the appropriate setting for telephone vs headset is also checked off.
*Should* work for *most* machines if not all, but not all upgrades to Windows 8 have gone 100% smoothly on all pc's. A shortcut to the program should then be seen on the desktop and a shortcut tile button for it should be seen on your Start page (if not you can create them yourself).
