Hey all,
My MJ+ decided to stop working a few days ago and can not seem to get it to work.
I have always had it plugged into a surge protector with everything else... never any problems for the past 10 months (1year expiration is March 3rd).
I unplug it for a while, plug it back in, nothing... i change network lines and move plugs around, nothing... i check the router, does not even see it.
I then plug it into the PC and it sees and installs the softphone, but then i get a screen saying "Insert your magic jack to make calls" even though it's already there, i unplug from the PC and reinsert multiple times, and nothing.
The + is lit blue, and the network light is Green.
Ideas?
My MJ+ stopping working for some reason... ideas?

- Sounds to me like your MJ+ has probably gone bad.
BTW - when connected to its a.c. adapter and a router, there should be a total of 4 LEDs lit up - the green one by its Ethernet jack should be lit pretty much continuously, an amber one (also by its Ethernet jack) should blink on & off, the little blue one shoulkd stay on, and there should also be a little white one - immediately adjacent to the blue one - that should blink on & off.
Assuming the device is defective, you could go online into your MJ account, start a "live help chat," tell them the device has gone bad (they'll probably ask you for all of the relevant details), and request a replacement... they'll probably charge you around $10 for it; if so, you'll need to make sure that you have a valid credit card on file with them to cover the cost.
