When I run my magicJack plus in standalone mode everything works OK. When I run it in USB mode everything appears to work OK except the MJ window never appears.
The MJ icon appears in the taskbar as it should and a right click on the icon invokes all the usual options. Ctrl-tab even lists the MJ window, but if I select it the window doesn't appear. I've run magicfix, restarted, etc. My old magicJack (non-plus) window displayed fine. I'm running Windows 7 on a Thinkpad. Suggestions?
Well, the MJ+ obviously once DID work and call up its windows/soft phone for you when connected to your pc or laptop, because otherwise you wouldn't have been able to complete its initial registration etc., right? So maybe something has changed since then regarding the pc/laptop that you're trying to use it with?
When connected to the laptop via usb, and you connect your telephone to it, are you able to place/receive calls?
Weird as it may see, it is not at all unknown for the behavior of USB ports in the same computer to vary. Plug it into a different port and see if that helps.
