No Refund for Multi-Year Plan

I purchased a 5 year plan in 2012 and now I have had to move to an area where I don't have sufficient internet access for MJ. I contacted them to disconnect my service and I was told that since I had used one year I could not get a refund for the remaining four years. That's a lot of crock! Let everyone know if you purchase one of these multi-years plans you won't get any refund.

Small consolation: likely your net speed will improve before the five years are up.

sorry, but this has always been understood and known...that's the risk you take buying 5 years to save money, being that you will need the 5 years. Besides, I always thought you needed High Speed too for MJ to work, but I've been using it on the move lately with less than 3mb of speed, so unless you're using dial up, your service could still be fast enough....most often, when MJ won't work right, it usually comes down to the router and settings.

MJ will work on pretty much anything faster than old dial-up; it's reported to even often work on the new and improved high-speed satellite Internet service. And yes, the lack of availability of refunds once money has been paid to MJ has been a part of their TOS since day one and has never been hidden from consumers.

Unfortunately, no VOIP service( even those far better than MJ) will work reliably on satellite internet.

Some people are reporting otherwise. Apparently satellite service is being improved, at least regarding some providers.
