Dedicated computer to dedicated internet?
I installed and activated my MJ on my laptop. Now I want to move it to my router where it is always on. I followed the new install instructions but it doesn't want to hook up. Do I need to uninstall on computer and reinstall so when it gets to the question about where will it be I click on the internet option?
You should be able to simply remove it from the USB port, close the magicJack app on your computer and plug your magicJack plus into your router via ethernet. Connect it the same way they suggest on the mjreg.com video.
Log into your account at my.magicjack.com. Make sure the new device shows up. Make sure the specific device is checked for "I elect to accept outgoing and incoming service" under "Call Features" --> "Advanced".
