total n00bie @ this .. i just heard about this thing today and wanted to know if anyone using this device in intl country? i wanted to send this to my in-laws in india so my wife can call them from magic jack to magic jack or i have a local #408 etc and send the device to india so when i call to magic # it cost me as local? is anyone doing this ... does this works like this?

Should work. Keep in mind that they will need high speed internet access and a PC/Laptop running XP or Vista.

Will magicJack work on dialup internet service?
No. Dial up internet service does not provide enough bandwidth for magicJack.
magicJack uses approximately 80 kbps of bandwidth (both upload and download), so you will need at least an ISDN or "Lite" broadband connection.
Note, magicJack-to-magicJack calls may work using Dial up internet service.
