does orginal mj still work ?

Hi Great site I have a ? about an old plain mj that I had laying around for a long time. Still sealed in the plastic pkg which included a year of service. I hooked it up and d/loaded the update from the mj site . I have a dial tone and made some calls,sent a fax but its starting interrupt calls. Im getting a popup that says I have to up grade I guess I dont get what I payed for ? Is there a work around for this ? THX for any info

It shouldn't make a difference, old or new hardware, unless they've changed something I don't know about.

Maybe the update they mentioned was to update the software.
They do that a lot.

Or did it say you needed to update the actual MagicJack hardware Dongle?

THX for the reply.I d/loaded and installed the windows update for mj site. re installed mj. mj window with key board opened. I couldn't register mj it said I could make free calls for 48 hrs. No phone # showed in the in the ph# tab just said free calls I copied the # it called from and could call that # from another phone. Then about a day later a popup window came up over the key board window saying that this model was no longer supported and to upgrade when you click to the next page it wants you to upgrade (buy) a mj + or a mj go? Should I try loading upgade.exe 12.9 mb ? Im running it on win7 ult x64. I could switch it to a different computer how well do they work on win vista or win xp? THX ZZ

Update the software.
I had XP before on my desktop, now I run Vista on my laptop and Win 7 on my desktop.
