Magic Jack Go - Yes or No?

Post by KMNugent52 »

Hi MJ Forum:

I have an old, 4.1 type magic jack (the old see-thru dongle). It still seems to work well enough.

Since the dongle MUST be connected to the computer at all times, I've grown accustomed to using the magic jack GUI for recent calls and contacts and I use that GUI often.

Is there any specific reason or advantage that I would see in upgrading to the 'Go'?

Thank you for your insights.

The only real advantage is that your computer won't have to be on. But then, you'll have to remember, write down, or store in a phone all the numbers you call. My advice: if the old one serves your needs, don't mess with success.

Hi Bill,

Thank you for your reply.

I'm using the Magic Jack on an Intel Compute-Stick, so leaving it on 24/7 is not an issue at all.

I'll follow your advise and leave well enough alone.

Thanks again,
