Magicjack Home using half duplex

I had the MJPlus that worked fine. Since my 5 year plan was expiring I decided to try the new MJHome. I spent over 8 hours trying to figure out how to set it up so it works as well as my Plus (2.5 hours were on chat that ended with them telling me to call another dept). I'm guessing folks here may have a solution.

Problem:
1. My router light for the MJHOME is amber/red vs. the green/clear it should be (tried 2 routers I had and I bought a new NetGear). All the routers show the device status at 10M/half duplex.
2. The lights near where the Ethernet cable is plugged into the MJHome is should be a solid light and a blinking light. They are not. The light to the left is not lit; the light to the right is a solid amber.
3. Voice quality is not as good as the Plus


Over many hours I tried the following steps that did not fix
1. I tried differnt wires on all connections
2. Different outlets
3. Setting up the new router with highest QOS for the LAN port; forwarding ports 5060 and 5070 UDP
4. Purchased a 2nd Home device

Any suggestions - I tried everything I could think of. My router doesn't let me manually change the LAN settings to full duplex, which I'm assuming I need.
