i recently had to change pc's and it has windows xp pro.. when i try and install MJ a box pops up that says no support this version of windows. Win NT 5.1 build
Is there a fix for this ?

You might have to re-install Windows ot use your recovery disc's which came with your PC. Of course be sure to save anything you may need as they will be gone if you do a recovery.
I have seen this before and it turned out to be a glitch in that persons OS. I "assume" you have kept up with the many Windows updates the 2nd Tuesday of every month? If not updates MAY help to fix things, then again they may not.. I also assume you have a firewall AND an AV running as well. Maybe disable your AV prior to installing the MJ
