MagicJack closes all the time.. no warning.

Post by JesterDev »

Magickjack closes itself automatically all the time, no warnings, no signs of a crash, nothing.

I decided to run it as a service to see if that would help, and the same thing happens. As far as I know it's the latest version.

Windows 7 64-bit
6 Gigs of ram

If anyone can suggest another program that uses the magicjack service, that would be great. But any fixes for this would also be good.

Nothing there seems to help. Still dealing with the same issue. It just closes itself at random times through out the day. When it's running I have no issues at all.

If Windows goes into sleep or hibernation mode MagicJack will quit working. I don't remember what happens when MJ quits working, if it just stops, or closes, but you might want to check your sleep/hibernation settings. I think there are prior discussions on it in here, if not, over at DSLReports.

Got me on this one. :o
Did you uncheck your Root USB HUB'S under device mgr. so there not in power saving mode?

Try to find some log files and maybe find something with in them that can help what's causing this problem.

Might run drwatson.exe (Windows Fault detection utility) and see if this can help you figure this out, I don't have Windows 7 so not sure if drwatson.exe is part of win. 7.
