How do you prevent the call from dropping syllables? It's not every other, but it makes it hard to understand what the person on the other end is saying.

It could be your internet connection, but more likely it is crap on your computer.

Run a scan using something like Spybot S&D to help clean up your computer.

You should also run a VOIP test on your machine. (it's an easy Google find)

You can also run Task Manager (ctl-alt-del) and watch your CPU usage to see if it is peaking out. If so, the info is also there to see what is causing it to do that.
