Hello to all.
After plugging in the magic jack I get as far as the telephone view and the Registration with and hour glass and nowhere to input information. I have double clicked on the two icons and I get the to "Known GateKeepers" I am assuming those are programs that will cause problems but I can not open the file as it is a .gkl extension. How do I open this file or can someone tell the items on the list?
Thank you so much in advance. I am terribly frustrated with trying to get this to work

I have been unable to get MagicJack to work at all. It crashes the computer (to a blue screen) every time.

Geatano: Hello, how may I help you?
Elvis: Hi, I have been unable to get the MagicJack program to run. A few seconds after start up, it crashes the computer, producing a blue screen with the following error message:
Elvis: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Elvis: It does the same thing on two different computers
Geatano: One moment please...
Elvis: Both running Windows XP, new installs with no other software than what is installed by the OS installer (Windows itself, Internet Explorer, and Outlook Express)
Elvis: When I say "crash" I mean that it takes it to the blue screen with text, and the only way out is the manual reset button on the computer
Elvis: By the way, both of the two computers I tried are modern Dell Dimension PCs that came with Windows XP, and in the final configuration I tried, there were NO other USB devices plugged in. I also tried different USB ports, too.
Geatano: Does the blue light come on in the magicJack when plugged into USB port?
Elvis: Yes, the blue light comes on, and
Elvis: there is actually a dial tone on the phone, during the brief time while the MagicJack program is trying to start up, before it crashes the computer
Elvis: The "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" is the second line in the error message.
Farther down, is this: Technical Information: ** STOP: 0x0000001 (0x01000017, 0x01000002, 0x01000000, 0xF8589025)
Geatano: One moment please...
Elvis: *** USBPORT.SYS - Address F8589025 base at F8580000, DateStamp 3d6ddc31
Elvis: although that last line is not always the same
Geatano: Please plugged your Mj into USB port.
Elvis: It is plugged in now
Geatano: Please go to ‘My computer’ and locate the drive named Vista Only, Phone, or removable disk (make sure it is the magicJack drive). Right click that drive, click format, and click start. Unplug magicJack, wait 15 seconds, and plug magicJack back in. You will need to download the magicjack upgrade again.
Elvis: I will have to restart that computer first. Hang on...
Geatano: Please do the above step and try again..
Elvis: OK, other computer is back up...
Elvis: OK, it's starting to load the "MagicJack" program, and now it's showing the image of the MagicJack device on the screen
Elvis: It just crashed the computer again
Geatano: Ok, I am escalating your issue to our technical department ,they will contact you as soon as possible.
Elvis: This time the line at the bottom of the blue screen is *** kmixer.sys - Address EB9DB6C9 base at EB9DA000, DateStamp 3d6ddc1c
Geatano: ok
Geatano: I have escalated your issue.
