I forwared calls from mj to another number so I could turn off computer.
I guess voice mail won't work either?
Am using xp pro sp3 with mj in usb.
doesn't the server where ny number is located forward from there?
any way to print phone directory?

Think about it for a second. You are forwarding your MJ phone number to another number. So how in the world would your MJ voice mail work?? The only voice mail which will work is the number you are forwarding your MJ too, IF it has one!! Thats like forwardng your mail to another address and wondering why your old address is not getting your mail anymore!Sparks wrote:I forwared calls from mj to another number so I could turn off computer.

Log into your MJ account at my.magicjack.com, click on the contacts tab and then you can export your contact list ( your phone directory)..

I did not state that clearly - I don't expect vm to work if calls are forwarded.
What's happening is - when CF is disabled and computer is off I was not getting VMs in my mail box at MJ.
Nor calls at target phone (VM on or off) with computer off anf CF enabled.
This may a something - else - my friend just stopperd over - has phone problems next door -
We are hard wired - lots of excavation in progress - they're not worig today but I bet the phone company is here now.
This too bafles me we can be on the internet and the phones die
I'll update you later after - no need to ponder this at the is time -

That usually means your VM needs to be reset. Contact MJ support and ask them to reset your VM. Do NOT do anything they tell you to do on your PC as it has NOTHING to do with VM which is on THEIR server!! AFter they reset your VM you PW will go back to the default of 1 2 3 4 ( after hitting * first of course) Your personal outgoing message will be gone as well and you will have to do it again.Sparks wrote:I did not state that clearly - I don't expect vm to work if calls are forwarded.

In the 2 1/2 years I have had my MJ I have had to have my VM reset 3 or 4 times.. One time the idiots there told me to re-format my MJ. I told them NO WAY as I can have my MJ in a desk draw nailed shut and my VM would not be affected since it is on THEIR server. So as I said do not let me make you do anything to your MJ or PC...
