charging the MagicJack

HI brothers.
I live in Asia, my friend in USA sent the MagicJack Telephone to me, and I use it more than 2 months, . it's really well. but I wanted to call East African countries but it's not working. my friend charge 1$ to the MagicJack, but it's not working, i don't know why.
i need support for this.
