I can't receive Incoming Calls. They go directly to MJ voicemail. When I call my MJ from my cellphone, for instance, I don't hear any ringing - call goes directly to MJ voicemail. Outgoing calls OK. Internet OK.
Also, I notice that after I make an outgoing call & hang up, the MJ pop-up window doesn't minimize like it used to - it disappears. I've tried resarting MJ & my PC several times, but it doesn't help. I thought maybe it's related to Daylight Savings Time change on Sunday 2 am, but my PC date & time are OK.

Help???
I "assume" you have done the basics which are talked about on this forum? Use a REAR USB port, do not use the short extension cable which came with your MJ, make sure your USB root hub save power settings are not enabled...etc........

What do you mean the MJ pop-up window doesn't minimize like it used to? Mine doesn't minimize unless I click the minimize button. Otherwise its always up on the desktop.
Since you say you can make outbound calls, the question in my mind is have you made any recent changes to your PC configuration?
To bitstopjoe's questions: Yes, yes, yes. And I'm using a powered USB hub. Same set-up as always.
To hsweiss questions: My pop-up minimizes when I hang up the phone. I have Magic Features. I think that's what is doing that action. But now, when I hang up my phone, the pop-up disappears altogether.
When I call to my MJ from my cellphone, I see the pop-up come on for a half second & then disappear. Then the call goes directly to MJ voicemail.
Only recent changes I made were downloading a few video encoder software programs to try to make a SCVD (MPEG-2) disc convert to DVD. They didn't work & I removed them all with Revo Uninstaller.
I tried System Restore a few times but it's not working. Maybe because my hard drive is too full. 95 GB used space, 16.5 GB free space.
Everything else seems OK. One more thing I noticed with MJ lately. When I restart MJ, my contacts don't load initially & MJ doesn't work. When I hit alt control delete, it shows MJ not responding. When I restart again, my contacts download & MJ is working. Except for this incoming calls problem.
Yesterday, Sunday, I had 15 calls from different people. & they all went directly to MJ voicemail. My phone never rang once. Same problem today.
Can you try your MJ on another PC to see if the problem follows your MJ dongle. If yes then it might be giving up the ghost, if not then there is SOMETHING on your PC, be it hardware or software, that is new and your MJ does not like.
Also it is possible, though rare, your powered hub is going bad. Just for $hits and grins try plugging your MJ directly into a USB ( rear) port on your PC bypassing your powered hub. I have seen the cable from the powered hub to a USB port, go bad...

Hmmm, 16G should be more than enough to go back to a restore point. This sounds to me like you've somehow tanked your system. I get very worried when I see systems that can't go to a restore point.
My 1st path would be to try the MJ on a different computer and see what results you obtain. Then I would search this forum for info on how to fully remove MJ from your computer, reboot, and then re-insert your MJ and let it reload itself. But I'm not at all confident that will work since I think there is something messed up in Windoze-land.
All of a sudden, last night after about 48 hours not working, everything returned to normal. And I didn't even do anything. My MJ must be moody. How frustrating. I better not complain, since it's working now.
Well, after about 15-20 hours of working, it stopped working again. Outgoing calls are OK. No incoming calls. Same symptoms as described above.
Here's some more info for you problem solvers:
I tried the MJ on 2 different computers & it's still not receiving incoming calls. I uninstalled & reinstalled MJ. Plugged & unplugged numerous times. Tried safe mode. I'm working on a fix for about 8 hours & I'm just about ready to give up.
Then I hooked up a second, brand new, never been used, MJ. It downloaded the upgrade. Tried it on both computers. No incoming calls.
So, 2 different PC's, 2 different MJ's; same exact problem. HELP!!!
2 different computers but the same ISP?? Might be worth a shot trying on another PC ( a neighbors, friend, or family) who uses a different ISP. Just a thought.
Have you run the online VOIP test?? Here is a link to one of many http://myspeed.visualware.com/voip/
Might also be a good idea to see what your pings are as well. Try this link too http://pingtest.net/
One other thought.. Are you running a wireless internet connection? If so try wired and if you have a router take it out of the mix and JUST use the DSL/CABLE modem..
Bottom line it COULD be a bad MJ dongle. Only one way to tell for sure...
If you bought the MJ directly from MJ they MIGHT MIGHT send you another, talk to MJ support ( chat). You also can buy one locally to see if the problem goes away. If not you can return it and be back to square one.
More info:
I tried bypassing the router & hooking directly to the modem. Problem remains, so it's not the router.
My ISP is Comcast (Miami). I'll check with them later to see if they're having problems.
As far as a bad dongle: How did both dongles go bad? They were purchased together about 2 years ago. But the 2nd one was new, unused & also didn't work.
Thanks for trying to help me narrow it down. It looks like it's not the MJ dongle, the PC, or the router. That leaves the ISP or magicjack itself. But I don't see a bunch of folks with my problem, so it must be Comcast, I guess?
Lots of people on here have had problems with Comcast. Do a search on Comcast to see. Just a few weeks ago no one on Comcast could make a call..
For sure could be a Comcast problem....
Yechi7 i have been having the same problem as of late where incoming calls are fine one day and randomly on others its not. Funny thing is i still get incoming calls occasionally but more are missed than received. Just wondering if you have diagnosed the problem or found a fix etc as the problem seems to persist for me. Thanks in advance and thank you to all for all the info regarding this problem.
