voice delay with Magic Jack

Has anyone experienced a 1 or 2 second delay of your voice transmission when using Magic Jack? My internet is high speed and working find but when calling a normal land line the magic jack phone sounds good but has a delay like we used to have in the 70’s when calling Europe. Anyone know how to fix this problem?
