Can I keep my old home number and transfer it to majicjack?

Features that are coming "soon". Area Codes, Caller ID blocking, Follow me, etc.

Well I added my number to the list for future porting. Does anyone know how long is the turn-around time for a response? :?:

I asked them to do it a week ago and it was completed today.

Asked them? How? Via the beta port request?

Good question. Go to MJ home page and go to FAQs. Select the number porting question and you will be guided through the process.

Good luck.

So far, 11-days and no response. I'm not sure about Samarai's reply since the FAQs do not guide one through the process at all.

Skinflint, being unsure is your privilege, but that's how it happened and this will be my last response to this issue.

To clarify erroneous and outdated information, the information given by 'samarai' is incorrect.

Magic Jack can port your number for a one time fee of $19.95. Once you register the device, you are issued a temporary number. Log in to your Magic Jack account @ my.magicjack.com and click on the 'My Subscriptions' tab.

In this tab you will find 'a request to transfer', (Port), your phone number. Make sure that your phone number is still active until MJ contacts you with a 'transfer complete' e-mail. The process may take up to a maximum of 10 business days. I am now an MJ customer and that is how I was able to do this.
