I had my Magic Jack plugged into a USB 3 port and it would not install. It was a brand new computer; maybe it was a different issue. But I'm curious. Has anybody gotten Magic Jack to work with USB 3?
My MJ didnt work with usb3 either.. at the start. I have a gigabyte z68-ud7. Installed the provided drivers that came with the motherboard and it worked.
Try updating drivers for your motherboard if you can.
Same here, I have a DELL XPS 15, had problems connecting the MJ in the USB 3.0 ports, it did not work, I was like detecting no internet, or no MJ dongle connected.
I connected then the MJ in the eSata/USB port and it worked.

hope i'm not too late... but the motherboard drivers you are referring to would they be the USB drivers or something else specific...
lost in space...
Left to my own devices, i will use those devices...
If at first you don't succeed, find another seed...
when magicJack was first releast last 2008, the USB port type that time was 2.0 hence magicjack will work better with 2.0 im sure your computer has 2.0 and 3.0.
