phone wont ring

I got my magic jack 10 days ago first day my phone would ring.. but volume when talking to others was very low..so i unplugged my fax machine from my pc thinking it owuld help thne after that phone wouldnt ring anymore when getting an incoming call..does anyone know what i should do i tried 20 dif tech ppl from mj 4 dif phones..an ac usb port..unstalling the mj.. only thing i didnt try was to defrag pc and reload everything again..will this probably help?

if ringing on incoming calls is the only problem, then try a different phone plugged into mj.
you might also check volume levels: tray icon, or softphone 'menu'> "volume/headset control"
