Canadian number can't call 800 USA number

I have a Canadian MJ number and since the first of July i can't call a USA 800 number that is blocked from normal Canadian landlines.I was able to call it before but now it will not connect.The number is for directv.800-531 5000.
Can someone who has a canadian MJ number try to call it.I was on with mj chat for a hour last night and they could not find the problem but they think its a routing problem that goes through a server in canada so it's blocked.They said that they would have the engineers look into it.
Any ideas?

hi Wease i cant call it ether it blocked i guess but MJ has trouble with 800 Canada number sometime too so my be it will go way on the next wonderful fix

Blocked from Canada.
My home phone is Vonage Canada....got busy signal, could not connect.
My magicjack phone got through.

Not all 800 numbers are for North America. This number is obviously for US only calls. You'll probably never get through on your MJ Canadian number.

If you really need to call them, this would be a good reason for a MJ with a US number.

I just tried with my Nettalk DUO and I was able to connect.
