How do I get an area code that is in my City

I would like to know how I can get an area code that is in my City, so that when people in my family calls me they are not charged a long distance call to call me.
I have a KY West Flordia number and I am in Kentucky

Buy Magicjacks for all family members and send it to them? Area codes alone don't control long distance, gotta get those next three numbers to ring true. MJ shows my state area code as pending (should be here SOON) but the exchange is for a city 40 miles away so that won't help.

Don't go by the towns listed for the area codes and exchanges on the MagicJack site; they can be WRONG! Google the area codes and exchanges for your area and verify them from a different source. MJ may not have an exchange that is local for you.
