Hey Guys I'm hoping that you can help me. I talked my in-laws into Magic jack and they are having some issues that I have been unable to solve for them.. Callers to their MJ sound choppy or garbled but the caller can hear them just fine.
I have already done the following;
Uninstall/reinstall
reboot PC
disable firewall
add firewall exceptions
reboot router and modem
Change volume settings
ensure that phone option is set under menu
try different phone
try different USB port
try without the usb extension cord
Try the MJ on a different PC (works fine)
Any help you guys can give me would be appreciated! They are very frustrated and MJ support has been little help...
Thanks - Jim

MANY things can cause it, including a lot of what you have already tried.
Have them click on the AIR CARD setting and see if that helps. If not they made need to change the MJ server they are on as it could be overloaded for their area. A bit complicated for them to do but it is discussed a lot on this forum. This may help as well..

Quick attempt at a fix - increase the priority of the magicJack process to "above normal." Easiest way is to install prio (http://www.prnwatch.com/prio.html) into the the Task Manager, find the magicJack process, right click on it and raise its priority.
