MagicJack Plus And Faxing?

Post by Darkbob »

Ok... got my new MJ Plus. Nice. Works good directly into the router with no computer involved. Which is a plus. And the call quality seems good. I think it's worth the extra $29 purchase plus extra $10/year.

But on to the topic at hand...

Because of the hype about better call quality, I was hoping (but not expecting) it to work with faxing.

I dialed my fax machine down to 2400 baud and still no go.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

VOIP faxing has always been hit or miss. Works for some and not for others... Sadly you are the latter....

This guy provided a solution that worked for me. It involves making changes to your Windows firewall and your router. I have only tried sending a one page fax so far. Have not tried a multi-pager yet which is what most people who are able to fax are having the most trouble with.
